Pierre Meyer has succeeded his father as the director of the “Route Verte” campsite at the village of Wihr-au-Val, which is located just a few kilometers from Munster.
His 55 site campsite is known to be a down-to-earth and friendly place where tourists feel at home. Every summer, on Sunday night, Pierre organizes a special guided tour of the village. He recounts the story of the Count of Ribeaupierre, who was lord of the commune long ago.
Pierre has researched the various tid-bits of history scattered throughout his village and loves to share is acquired knowledge. As the President of the “Foyer Saint Sébastien,” he is also versed in contemporary history and is full of interesting anecdotes.
